Carrie Williams is the Communications Director for the Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation (MJYF). Williams has a passion for serving communities through the use of effective and engaging communication practices. Prior to her start at MJYF Williams has worked in a range of marketing and communication roles including; Marketing Coordinator for the formerly name Baton Rouge River Center, Communications Assistant for Center for Planning Excellence, Contributing Feature Writer for Up 2 Me Magazine, Communications Manager for Atlanta Life Media Agency, Senior Communications Consultant for Aetna Inc. and more.
Williams earned a Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University in Mass Communications with a Concentration in Advertising and a Minor in Business Administration. Continuing her dedication to learning and active entrepreneurship, Williams is part of the alumni association for Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. She’s helped co-founded a fully integrated web and marketing platform start-up for small business owners.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga Williams has a close commitment to her community and the people within it. Williams is an alumni of MJYF. With her love for community relationships, Williams also serves as a mentor for Cool Girls organization where her goal is to help foster opportunities and resources for underserved areas.
